MV Romance is the ideal setting for a leisurely lunch or dinner boat cruise along the Leeds Liverpool Canal.
Our 3-hour lunch or dinner cruises take you from our base at Riley Green Marina through Withnell Fold Nature Reserve, past the old Withnell Fold paper mill, on through delightful countryside set against the stunning backdrop of Hoghton Tower.
Then onto the lovely hamlet of Wheelton and Johnson Hillocks where we descend and ascend two locks before we commence the return journey.
Sit back and relax as you are served a delicious three-course meal prepared and cooked in our galley kitchen.
Saturdays and Sunday lunches are very popular so booking is recommended. We also provide mid-week lunches and evenings for corporate events, family parties, weddings, and party celebrations.
The restaurant has a fully licensed bar with an extensive wine list.
MV Romance is fully enclosed, with central heating for winter, creating an intimate atmosphere.

Canal Boat Cruises is located in the idyllic Lancashire countryside at our lovely Riley Green Marina which is set against the stunning backdrop of the historic Hoghton Tower.
Almost halfway between Leeds and Liverpool, the canal is rated as one of the most picturesque and boasts many excellent pubs, restaurants, shops, attractions & historic sites.
Travel west towards Liverpool passing through the famous Wigan flight
Travel east towards Leeds passing through the Yorkshire market town of Skipton and on towards the famous Bingley Five Rise.
Both routes will take you through the stunning countryside and the industrial mill towns of Lancashire and Yorkshire.
One of three trans-Pennine waterways, the Leeds and Liverpool Canal is 127 miles long and, via its connection with the Aire & Calder at Leeds, offers a coast-to-coast route across the north of England.

Travelling at approximately 3-4 miles per hour, the enjoyment from narrow boating comes from meandering along, taking in the scenery and wildlife, and of course stopping at the occasional pub!
