Diary of an event organiser

We began organising networking events nearly 12 months ago now, and held our first one at The Nova Centre, back in October 2008.

Since then we have held 2 other events - one in December at Elwy Hall, Rhyl and more recently at The Graig Park, Dyserth in July of this year.

The events have always been an opportunity for us to get together with businesses who we already work with and also for us to meet up with new contacts and let them see what we do.

Our hope from the outset has been that the events have an informal feel so that our guests feel comfortable if they are not used to networking, but also professional enough that businesses can make new contacts themselves and hopefully gain work from the evening.

Whenever we get the chance we also want to use these events as an opportunity for us to promote local good causes and charities and give them a place to promote their work to local business people.

As is always the case when organising any event there is a lot of time and effort goes into the meetings and we thought the blog would be a place for us to diarise what happens in the few weeks preceding the meeting.

Watch out for regular updates as the 15th September 2009 draws closer!

Hi, we are Jeremy Routledge & Alison McMillan and we have been running The Best of Prestayn since 2007. The most rewarding part of running our businesses is helping to promote good local shops and services and getting to meet new people all the time.
