Calling all artists

Bookmark and Share

Artists are being invited to apply for public art commisions at three different locations in Prestatyn.

Individual artists and artists' consortia are eligible to apply but must be able to demonstrate "an artistic ability to interpret the inherent elements of the importance of the sites to both the residents and visitors alike and show an ability to deliver their concepts, whilst adding value and empathy to the immediate environment".

The three sites are

  • The Promenade - terminus of the 177 mile long Offa's Dyke National Trail and includes the SUSTRANS cycle route
  • The Railway - either side of the station's mainline London to Holyhead railway - 2 works
  • Hillside Gardens - lying along the Trail as it drops down off the Clwydian Range (AONB) towards Prestatyn town

Further information and application requirements can be obtained from Michelle Rendell on 01824 706668 or by e-mail michelle.rendell@denbighshire.gov.uk

Please note that applicants who disregard the application requirements will not be considered.

Applications must be received by noon on 13/6/08.
