Last Wednesday I needed somewhere to get a coffee and a quick bite while I prepared for our Business by the Sea event in Clevedon. I must admit I had not yet tried the Lockhouse Lounge by Portishead Open Air Pool so it seemed a good opportunity to pop in and give it a test run. Wow I was blown away, literally ! The afternoon was wet and windy but what an amazing place to watch the weather. Inside was warm and friendly and the design is really great. Coffee was really good and the tapas I had was tasty. But food and drink aside the view is outstanding.
This is one of those places that when you go there you wonder, why has it taken me so long to try it here. The Lounge is run by the same team that have the Lockhouse Bar and Restaurant in Portishead. It is a more relaxed contrast to the fine dining experience at the Lockhouse but has its own very unique personality.
