Located just outside Petersfield, Langrish House is an historic English manor that has been transformed into a magnificent country house hotel.
The highest standards of hospitality, award winning food and stunning surroundings. Langrish House couples history and tradition with modern facilities to provide a wonderful setting for all occasions.
Set in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, Langrish House started life as a 17th Century manor house. It has been home to the Talbot-Ponsonby family for over 7 generations and is owned by Nigel and Robina Talbot-Ponsonby. The house has a rich and colourful history with notable events including the housing of Royalist prisoners in the Civil War, and the hosting of extravagant house parties for Glorious Goodwood.
In 1976 the house was damaged by a substantial fire. During the restoration its potential as a country house hotel was realised and the transformation began. Langrish House now offers 13 individually decorated bedrooms, conference and party facilities, an excellent restaurant and extensive grounds. It is a former winner of the Les Routiers National Hotel of the Year Award and is a regular fixture for many returning guests.
The hotel is within easy reach of historic Portsmouth and the ancient cathedral cities of Chichester and Winchester, and less than an hour from London. For those who prefer quieter pastimes, there are gardens to enjoy, wildlife to admire and scenery that has inspired many a famous novel.
Accommodation
All 13 bedrooms are well appointed and have en-suite bathrooms. Every room enjoys splendid views of the grounds and features a colour television, IDD phone line, wifi access and tea and coffee making facilities.
