Debbie Jones and her husband Larry set up Art & Soul in Petersfield in 2003. Debbie was formerly a lecturer in art & design, specialising in jewellery design and ceramincs, and they now run one of the town's most fascinating businesses in a historic shop in Sheep Street.
"One day whilst I was in Petersfield teaching adults with learning difficulties, I walked into the shop to ask if they would like to sell my handmade cards - and fell in love with it. Situated just off the main square in the centre of Petersfield, Art & Soul is one of the town's most interesting retail premises - a quaint little shop in a 200-year-old building in Sheep Street. The interior decor adds to the charm with its extensive use of natural materials such as tree roots and natural wood.
