Age Concern Peterborough is a local independent charity working for people over 50, their families and carers. As a member of the Age Concern Federation, we work to achieve the quality standards that are a condition of membership.

Local charity Age Concern Peterborough also has a brand new centre for Well-Being located in our offices in Lincoln Road Peterborough.
The Centre was funded by the Big Lottery and charitable donations, and provides structured activities, workshops, an internet cafe and entertainment to over 50's, brought to us by local providers.

If you live in Peterborough and need free, impartial, confidential advice on topics relating to Housing, Care in the Community, Benefits, Health and Leisure, Mobility Aids and Age Discrimination, please contact Age Concern Peterborough, your local charitable organisation working for the needs of older people. In addition there are a number of fact sheets on several topics available for your information.
If you are unable to attend our offices, we are happy to visit you at your home to give you the advice, information and support you require.
Personal and Practical Support
Whether you are lonely and need someone to talk to, or would like to meet new friends, Age Concern Peterborough can assist. We have details of Friendship Clubs, our Day Care Centre and Volunteer Befriending in and around the Peterborough area.
Home Checks for enhanced safety, garden maintenance, home support services such as light housework, ironing and local shopping are all provided by Age Concern Peterborough, and a guaranteed list of traders.

Function Room
Age Concern Peterborough now has a function room available for hire. Suitable for meetings, training etc. The room holds up to 20 people. Refreshments can be provided and technical equipment is available on request. Please ring us to make a booking.
Volunteering Opportunities for your local charitable organisation
Opportunities arise for volunteers in all of our service departments plus clerical / reception duties in our offices and insurance and trading department. help is always required with fundraising and if you can spare a minimum of 1 hour each week we would be very pleased to hear from you.
