The Perthshire Chamber is an independent, voluntary, non-profit making, non-political business membership organisation. Chambers of Commerce make up a powerful and influential network across the world and are represented nationally by both Scottish and British Chambers of Commerce.
The purpose of the Perthshire Chamber of Commerce is to represent the views of Chamber members and promote, develop and protect the interests of local businesses for the benefit of the membership and the economic future and communities of Perthshire.
Day to day operations are managed by Vicki Unite, Chief Executive and Karen Wright, Office Support & Events Co-ordinator. The membership at Perthshire Chamber comprises dynamic and successful business of all sizes and industries, from all across Perthshire.
So what does the Perthshire Chamber do?
Chamber Events - a wide range of events is provided to appeal to all members and include monthly networking breakfasts, regular lunches and evening visits. The annual events include the Annual Dinner & Business Star Awards and the Chamber Golf Day.
Chamber Voice - locally the Chamber membership is represented on a variety of organisations and committees. It has regular meetings with Perth & Kinross Council, local MP's, MSPs and MEPs and with Scottish Enterprise Tayside. The Chamber is backed by the many voices of its members putting it in a stronger negotiating position. Nationally Perthshire Chamber is affiliated with Scottish Chambers of Commerce.
Chamber Business Support - comes in the form of Business Mentoring, which is a free service for its members, there is a Chamber information hotline, Chamber training courses, Member to Member Discounts, Chamber telecom and Chamber Healthcare provided through Westfield Health.
Chamber Communication - the Chamber website can be used to promote the goods, services and events of its members and the Chamber magazine - InCommerce, issued quarterly, contains members news and items of interest to all. Chamber Year Book and Appointments diary is issued annually and inclusion is free of charge for members, there is also free listing in the Scottish Chamber of Commerce Directory.
