The Welsh Blood Service organizes the collection, testing, processing and distribution of blood. We rely entirely on voluntary donors to maintain supplies to Welsh hospitals.
Anone aged between 17 and 66, who weight over 7st 12lbs, who is health and not subject to certain medical exclusions can volunteer to become a blood donor. Blood donations are vital, so many patience could not survive without blood donation. The Welsh Blood Service is required to supply 400 donations a day to the south, west and mid wales hospitals.
