Abereiddy Beach
Abereiddy Beach
  • Abereiddy,
    Haverfordwest,
    Pembrokeshire,
    SA62
This beach includes pebbles and extraordinarily dark sand made of pounded grey slate. The same slate also gives an amazing deep blue colour to the water in the ‘Blue Lagoon’ which is a beautiful harbour north of the beach. Abereiddy is a popular place to go coasteering, climb cliffs and jump into the sea. Also a row of ruined cottages can be seen alongside the old quarry. Dogs are allowed on the beach. There is no existing lifeguard service at the beach. In 2013 the beach was awarded with a Green Coast Award and Seaside Award (Rural).
