Constructed from green oak following ancient traditions,
Neuadd-y-dderwen (The Oak Hall) also uses modern materials which make this one of the most energy efficient concert halls in Wales.
The Oak hall has photo-voltaic panels and underfloor heating powered by ground arrays, as well as treble insulation and UV reflective glass.
Strong ancient Welsh themes resonate throughout this music venue with the Mabinogion carvings in the reception hall and the Celitc knot design of the 400 square metre patio and fountain.
