The Best of are taking part in the second Play2Give (P2G) Football Event on Sunday, 13 July 2008 at the grounds of Oxford City Football Club, Marsh Lane, Marston, OX3 0NQ.
The tournament from 10am – 5pm will involve at least 16 x 6-a-Side teams. The whole event is in aid of two worthy charities:- The Oxford Children’s Hospital (CHOx) Appeal and the Abingdon Town Amateur Boxing Club campaign fund.
Each team competing is asked to pay just £30 entry donation, and raise at least a minimum of £100 in sponsorship in pledges from family, friends, colleagues and/or customers, and raise as much more as possible for these good causes. Cheques payable to ‘Play2Give Charity Football’.
A charity raffle will also take place on the day, and the top teams will be awarded with coveted prizes including a trophy for first place, and shields for runners-ups. There will also be a Player of the Tournament award, all generously sponsored by Newbury Building Society! The Clubhouse will also be open serving hot food (such as burgers), drinks, and the bar will also be open to unwind and use at your leisure. Changing facilities will also be available.
