5* British high tea

The Grand Cafe, the oldest most elegant coffee house in the UK.

Frequently visited by the rich and famous, most notably was hangout to the Clintons when they were Oxford University students - both Bill and Chelsea!

The decor, gold leaf, marble pillar opulence demands you sit and luxuriate with family and friends for a while to enjoy the famous tiered high tea.

The delicious homemade delicate sandwiches, together with the sumptuous cakes and gorgeous scones with fine leaf tea, feels like heaven sent.

A favourite place of mine to take the inlaws for a special treat, meet with friends for evening cocktails or as a lunch date; The Grand Cafe just never fails to deliver that decadent feel of a secret time gone by that you are secretly allowed to share just for a little while.

This has been home to many celebrations, my husband even proposed to me here!

No Oxford visit is ever complete without a visit to the most magical and truely beautiful coffee houses in Oxford and in my opinion, the best cafe in Oxford and the World!
