On Saturday 4 August 2012 Oswestry Coalition for Peace plan to hold a Peace Picnic between 10am and 4pm on Oswestry's Wilfred Owen Green, which is situated behind the Cambrian Railway Station on Oswald Road.
Because we are a small group, we envisage that this event will be an informal gathering, featuring spontaneous acoustic music, readings of peace-related poetry and other literature, information stalls, and making paper 'peace' cranes.
Our thanks to Shaun Burkey, Shropshire Council's Conservation & Community Officer with responsibility for the Green, for his support.
