This Celebrity Concert will surely sell out very quickly: one of our collaboration concerts with the Shropshire Music Trust and Orchestras Live, it features the brilliant ECO (directed by Stephanie Gonley) and one of the most charismatic and cherished of British violinists, Tasmin Little.
Couple that stunning combination to the main work in the programme - Vivaldi's Four Seasons - and we are set for a memorable evening. Bartok and Handel also feature.
Tasmin is well-known to Oswestry audiences, having played here on three occasions already. Acclaimed on the world stage, her 2011 schedule
has seen her play in New Zealand, Australia, Dubai, Singapore, Spain, Holland, etc etc. She also plays in the BBC Proms in 2011.
The ECO is regarded as one of the world's finest chamber orchestras, and claims be the most recorded and widely travelled chamber orchestra in that category. Its first patron was Benjamin Britten, and has strong links with Barenboim and Sir Colin Davies. As well as its frequent world tours, it is resident orchestra for Grange Park Opera.
