MEET GINGER - (added 24/01/12)

Can anyone offer this lovely boy a loving home in his retirement? Sadly, his owner has had to go into residential care and although relatives have been looking after him the house where he is living will soon have to be cleared and he will be homeless :-(

Here's what his carer has to say about him:
"Ginger is 14yrs old, we have checked with the vets and he last had a booster in 2010. As you can see he has a good appetite and just needs to be loved. We have rescue cats ourselves so this as been a very difficult decision but Ginger isn't used to other cats and is used to getting his own way.

He is an indoor cat and used to a quiet home, being spoilt and having someone's undivided attention :)

At 14 years he is no spring chicken, but there is plenty of life in him yet.

If you think you could offer Ginger a new loving home, where he can be the only puss and continue to be spoilt rotten, please get in touch with the Shelter on 01743 872857.

The aim of Shropshire Cat Rescue is to care for and re-home unwanted cats and kittens throughout Shropshire and just over the border into Wales.

This includes educating the public on responsible cat ownership, including neutering and arranging for colonies of feral cats to be neutered and returned to site.  Shropshire Cat Rescue is an entirely unpaid voluntary group.

We welcome:-

  • Donations of good quality clothes, bric-a-brac, books, CDs, etc  for our shops in Shrewsbury and Ellesmere.
  • Volunteers to help in our shops.
  • Helpers at our shelter at Bayston Hill.
  • Good permanent homes for cats and kittens.
  • Foster carers to provide temporary homes for cats and kittens in need.
