The Ironworks in Oswestry is a much-loved Music Venue, Bistro Bar and Lunchtime favourite. Pop in during the day for coffee or a tasty lunch, locally-sourced and freshly prepared. As a stunning Grade II Listed building, The Ironworks is ideal for meeting with friends, family or a business meeting in a relaxed atmosphere.
INTRODUCING THE IRONWORKS
The Ironworks is truly one of Oswestry's hidden gems.
An old world alleyway, unassuming amidst the town's main street, leads to this surprisingly large music, performance and arts space.
HISTORY
Until three years ago, the building was derelict, but The Ironworks in Oswestry has been lovingly restored and now features exposed brick, beams and two curved oak bars.
BISTRO BAR & MUSIC VENUE
Downstairs, the bistro turns out home cooked cuisine made with farm-fresh ingredients.
Upstairs in the performance space, the vaulted ceiling creates amazing acoustics, yet the room still feels intimate. It could be in Vienna, it could be in Barcelona, but luckily for us it's in Oswestry.
BREATHTAKING PERFORMANCES
The Ironworks of Oswestry exists to showcase the area's emerging talent, alongside the best touring acts from Britain and beyond. Having hosted everyone from singer-songwriters, twelve-piece Jazz bands and electro-punks.
Not to mention, the hugely popular monthly comedy night, this venue is nothing if not versatile.
STUNNING FUNCTION ROOM
The rustic furniture upstairs can be configured for private functions including wedding receptions and sit down dinners. A first class sound system and the team of knowledgeable staff are of course included.
Ideal too for business conferences or networking meetings.
LUNCHTIME & NIGHTIME
During the day, the Ironworks plays laid-back music for those who want to relax, have a coffee and read the papers. In the evenings, the Ironwork's late license ensures it is the favourite watering hole for night owls both young and old.
IT STARTED WITH AN IDEA
The Ironworks of Oswestry has grown from its beginnings as an idea in the minds of local couple Steve and Ros. The idea was to create a place where the two of them would want to go, but it has become something much more than that.
EVERYONE IS WELCOME!
People of all ages love the Ironworks because it caters to such diverse tastes.
One day at the Ironworks can see ladies who lunch, the afternoon office crowd enjoying a post-work cocktail, a football match on the big screen, followed by live bands and dancing til the small hours.
Before The Ironworks opened, the people of Oswestry and its surrounds had little chance to enjoy live music and performance locally. Now the Ironworks brings it to town at least three days a week.
FAMILY RUN, FRIENDLY ATMOSPHERE
The family run, friendly atmosphere ensures the place is well loved. At only three years old, the Ironworks has already blossomed into an Oswestry institution.
