INTRODUCING PARK HALL - THE COUNTRYSIDE EXPERIENCE
As the Winner of Farm Attraction Of The Year in 2010, Park Hall Farm in Oswestry stands out as one of the major family attractions both in Shropshire and nationally.
What makes Oswestry's Park Hall Countryside Experience so special is that there's something for all ages to enjoy and participate in. The fun is in the doing! Whether that be milking a cow, taking a ride on a tractor or simply walking around the delightful nature trails.
LET'S BEGIN WITH THE ANIMALS
Around February Half-Term is when the ever-popular Lamb Feeding starts! This is followed up in April by the Pig Racing - yep, you heard right. :) Ever milked a cow? Well, now's your chance with the Hand and Parlour Milking.
Then there's the Pony Grooming and the amazing Heavy Horses where you can get to meet Charm, the gentle and magnificient Clydesdale. Not to mention the glorious small herd of Highland Cattle. And let's not forget the smaller animals like the rabbits and guinea pigs. Park Hall often have baby rabbits which are a sight to see!
Oops, just been nudged by one of the ducks to mention the Duck Pond where you can see Geese too! Being a farm, chickens and a few cockerels will be in residence in the Stableyard.
KIDS' LANDROVERS & DRIVING SCHOOL
There's a fabulous off-road track for kids in specially designed Landrover Defender replicas, ideal for children between 6-14 years. The Children's Driving School is unique in this area in giving children an early opportunity to "learn to drive" in a purpose-built environment.
Fun for all ages, you can also have a go with the Mechanical Diggers and practice your sand-shifting abilities. :)
QUAD BIKING
The Oswestry Quad Biking opens early February and is on every Saturday, Sunday and all through the main school holidays. Open Bank Holidays too.
Ages range from 6 years to adults. It's fantastic fun with rides lasting for 10 or 20 minutes. Check on the website for latest times and prices.
CHILDREN'S BIRTHDAY PARTIES
Park Hall Countryside Experience is an amazing place for a children's birthday party - and best of all, there's no time limit. You can stay all day!
You choose which activities you want the party to include such as action adventures and animal activities and Oswestry's Park Hall Farm will do the rest. Find out more about Birthday Parties.
OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES
When the weather's fine, children can enjoy the Crazy Farm Adventure Course, the Woodland Adventure Play Area or have tremendous fun in the Play Village with it's four wooden play houses and picnic seating.
Hours of imaginative fun for youngsters!
THE WELSH GUARDS COLLECTION
This is a stunning collection of uniforms, artefacts and memorabilia which tell the story of the Welsh Guards following it's formation in 1915. Superbly curated with knowledgeable guides, this is a fantastic collection for adults and children alike!
THE VICTORIAN SCHOOL & MUSEUM
What would it be like to attend a Victorian School? Well, in this unique Oswestry attraction, children can experience, first hand, what it's like to be in an actual lesson for one hour! And no, lateness will not be tolerated!
To take part, please pre-book your visit - to run a lesson requires a minimum of 20 and maximum of 50 people. It's an experience that will put today's school attendance into a rich historical context.
