ELLESMERE RANGERS FC - THE HISTORY

Ellesmere Rangers FC is an ambitious and proud Shropshire Football Club celebrating its 40th anniversary this year. The Senior First XI has achieved 5 promotions in the last 8 seasons and is currently top of the West Midlands Regional Premier League (step 6 of the English Non-League Pyramid).

The football club is planning to continue their rapid progression up the football pyramid and are aiming at reaching step 4 within 5 seasons.

SUCCESSFUL SEASONS

The club has a reserve team and 2 under 18 teams and both sides had highly successful 2008/09 seasons winning several trophies/promotion and developing several local young players to progress into the first XI this season.

The success of this youth policy is seen in our position at the top of the league.

FLOURISHING JUNIOR FOOTBALL TEAMS

The football club has a flourishing junior boys and girls section with 5 boys teams from Under 8 to Under 15 and 2 girls teams and this junior section provides local children with the opportunity to develop their social and sporting skills with the guidance of dedicated and local coaches.

The junior section is widely regarded in the county as being one of the best organised and most forward-thinking and this is a credit to our Junior Chairman, Jonathan Griffiths. They also intend to expand this junior section over the next 3 seasons.

COMMUNITY-FOCUSSED FOOTBALL CLUB

Ellesmere Rangers FC are a community-focussed football club who are proud of being an important part of the Ellesmere and North Shropshire community.

They know local football fans want a succesful community-driven football club with local players run by a local committee and this is just what they offer. Ellesmere Rangers FC warmly welcome all football fans of all ages to Beech Grove to support them!
