The food was outstanding, probably the best we have had for a long time. The sauces were extremely tasty and the chicken was so lean - and plenty of it!
We couldn't resist having a full three courses, again something we have not done in a while! The atmosphere was great and the singer was very good, although maybe not playing to a big enough audience.
We fully intended to eat and then head in to Ormskirk for a few drinks afterwards but were enjoying ourselves so much ended up staying into the early hours with some new acquaintances (including some members of staff).
We'll definitely be back!

Attended the launch open night last Thursday of teh Crying Tree in Aughton. It was a really great night, fabulous food, great entertainment & organised so well.
Thanks to Karen for inviting us and will defiantely be back very soon !

The Crying Tree in Aughton is a lovely, friendly place to go.The food was out quick and was tasty, the restaurant staff really looked after us and we stayed for a drink after our meal with our son who was made a real fuss of by "Lucy" behind the bar which was very much appreciated! All the staff made us feel welcome and we will defiantely be returning!
