The Blue Mallard serves Modern British dishes, refined to the highest standard, in a lovely canalside setting at Burscough Wharf, in the heart of Burscough town centre. Only a few minutes from the bustling market town of Ormskirk, and within half an hour's drive from Liverpool, Southport and Preston, The Blue Mallard is quickly establishing itself as a firm favourite amongst the North-West's discerning diners.
The restaurant has been designed along contemporary lines, creating a sophisticated atmosphere that is both elegant and relaxed. Diners can enjoy drinks before and after their meals, either at the inside lounge or on the covered outside terrace overlooking the Leeds-Liverpool Canal.
Owners Chris Crowell, Matthew Holleran and Leon Swift are all local lads who have gained great experience further afield, and they are now putting their wealth of culinary talents to excellent use back in Burscough. Executive Chef Matthew takes the lead in the kitchen, with full support from Chris and Leon, who also take care of the day-to-day business side of things. With a happy, professional and courteous front of house team, The Blue Mallard has all the ingredients to create a fantastic dining experience.
