Well-known Ormskirk solicitor Michael Prendergast, a partner in Dickinson Parker Hill, is running in this year's Great North Run and is looking to raise funds for a charity that is very close to his heart.
Michael's sister Emma has autism, which is why Michael is looking for people to sponsor his great efforts and donate the funds he raises to the Autistic Society.
This is not the first time Michael has put himself through the pain barrier for the good of others, with his previous efforts including a successful entry in the London Marathon.
The Great North Run takes place in Newcastle on Sunday 18 September, when Michael will be one of around 54,000 competitors putting themselves through the paces.
