The Tamar Otter & Wildlife Centre, is one of Devon and Cornwall's most popular wildlife parks - and one of the few wildlife parks in Britain where you can view the British Otter close up in natural surroundings.
The Tamar Otter & Wildlife Centre was originally established to re-home and breed the British Otter at a time when their very existence in the wild became precarious. The programme was a success, and the otter is once again a part of our landscape.
The Tamar Otter Centre and wildlife park is now home to not only otters but deer, wallabies. owls, waterfowl and peacocks too - and new for 2010, Scottish wild cats!
The Tamar Otter & Wildlife Centre wildlife park offers entertainment for the whole family, with it's woodland walks, picnic areas, aviaries, lakes and a waterfall all being home to animals that are very happy to share their home with you - and is easy to reach from anywhere in Devon and Cornwall.
Easy to find - Easy access from Okehampton and the A30 for all day family entertainment
Tea room - Hot and cold food including home made cakes, and local produce used (Gold Chefs Award)
