Here at South Dornaford Farm, located at Jacobstowe and just four miles from Okehampton in West Devon, easily accessible from the A30, we have created the perfect retreat for you to hold environmentally and holistically based courses, functions, events, green wedding receptions and retreats.
Our Devon retreat venue is available to hire for half day courses to camps lasting five days, all held in a private, tranquil surroundings - a beautiful Okehampton retreat for your event.
South Dornaford Farm makes a wonderful location for your Devon Green Wedding reception too - if you seek to celebrate your wedding in an unspoilt country location, then this is the place for you, call Pippa to talk about your plans.
Our Okehampton retreat facilities include a restored stone and cob barn studio, fully insulated, a marquee and a bunkhouse with bathroom facilities, plus outdoor camping space. Refreshments are available, as are quality meals according to requirements. We do all we can to best accommodate your teaching needs.
Okehamptons South Dornaford Farm events and course venue and retreat clients include Living Movement, Linking the Environment and Farming (LEAF), Natural England and West Country Rivers Trust. Tai Chi events are regularly hosted at our Devon retreat venue.

Ross and Pippa Cherrington moved to South Dornaford Farm in 1996, having relocated from Hampshire along with their herd of sheep. They gained Organic Certification in 2001, shortly before Foot & Mouth devastated their enterprise. The farm has now been restocked with a small herd of Ruby Red Devon cattle and Cheviot sheep, and Pippa is busy developing and promoting the retreat, course and events venue in this beautiful, peaceful Devon retreat setting.
