Driving Test News Update
As from October 2010 the practical driving test changed. Candidates now only have to do one manoeuvering exercise (instead of 2) out of a choice of 4, to allow time for the new independent driving section which involves a 10 minute drive as part of the test. The examiner will ask the candidate to drive independently by following road signs instead of being given directional instructions by them. This is to prepare new drivers for modern busy driving conditions where they will have to plan routes and follow direction signs for themselves.
Crossways School of Motoring instructors have incorporated this change in their driving lessons.
