The Gathering is a one-of-a-kind all-day singing workshop led by Norwich musician Mary Lovett, featuring a soul-stirring song by Mark Howe of The Neutrinos, with accompaniment from the Howie Lovett band.
This workshop offers a chance to learn, rehearse and refine an original song, and experience performing as part of a band. Mary, Mark, Joe and Carl, a group of skilled musicians, will guide you through the process of building up all the parts of the song and putting it all together to sing our hearts inside out!
The workshop day runs from 10 am until 4 pm on the 1st of June 2024 at Martineau Memorial Hall, 21 Colegate, Norwich, NR3 1BN.
At 6.30 pm, there is an informal evening gig at The Octagon Chapel with the Howie Lovett band, in which all the workshop participants will be invited to perform The Gathering song. Then you can sit back, relax, and enjoy the rest of the gig.
We encourage workshop participants to come along to the evening performance, to participate if you want to, and to invite friends and family. Workshop participants can attend the gig for free.
Gig tickets for family and friends are available in the Mary Lovett Music online shop for £8, or on the door for £10. Tickets can be paid for by cash or card on the door.
