The Scavenger Hunt this year is in aid of two charities; ; NET Patient Foundation; who support those living with, or affected by, neuroendocrine tumours, and Smart Kids OK, a Great Yarmouth based charity offering support and services for children, young people and their families who live with Attention Related Disorders.
The scavenger hunt is a 24 hour event running from 2pm on Friday 6th April to 2pm on Saturday 7th April. Each team (of up to 5 people) will be provided with a list of approximiately 250 challenges to complete. All challenges fall into one of 3 categories;
Find it – i.e. a bearded lady, a 4 pronged spork, a celebrity look-a-like
Make it – i.e. a model of stone henge from materials of your choice, a totum pole, an inappropriate childrens toy
Do it – i.e. get in the sea, kiss an OAP, score over 500,000 in temple run, get pierced
All tasks must be photographed and uploaded online, all challenges are worth different amounts of points and the team who get the most points will be crowned the winner, receive the sought after GYSH trophy and the top prize, 2nd and 3rd placed teams will also receive prizes and there’ll be spot prizes for other challenges and photos.
Winners will be announced on the evening of the 7th at a dedicated crowning ceremony! (this gives the teams a little time to recoup and get some rest) Once the winners have been announced we’ll be holding a raffle and charity auction with some great prizes such as a signed Stephen Fry book, bottles of alcohol and pampering vouchers.
