Since joining the Roundwood Indoor Bowling Club in September 2008, we have become hooked. We were given 5 free lessons and a very welcome reception and since then it seems to be taking over our life!!! We still enjoy the very friendly roll ups, but have also taken part in some of the league matches and have just volunteered to help with the youngsters, to encourage them into realising that bowls is not just for old people!! It's a great way to spend your leisure time and to make lots of new friends.

Bowls is taking over our life!!! When we first went to Roundwood in September 2008, we were made most welcome and given 5 free lessons. We soon found we were hooked - we played mainly in the very friendly roll ups, but this season have been involved in some of the league matches as well and have now volunteered to help out with the youngsters, to encourage them and show them that bowls is NOT an old person's game - just a game that old people can play!!!

I came to Roundwood with friends to play bowls. We were welcomed as we came in and it was very friendly. Everybody seemed to be relaxed and enjoying themselves. It almost felt like home from home.

Each week I attend a roll-up bowling match. This is a great, informal way of enjoying a game and meeting old and new friends in a relaxed atmosphere.
