Cancer Research UK Race for Life event has been at the Norfolk Showground for the last 10 years. The location and venue isn’t the only reason for choosing this venue it’s down to the additional support and customer service we receive. The customer service is outstanding, the Norfolk Showground is always thinking of our needs and what would assist in making the event better. All the staff on site pull together to ensure the venue and the ground is completely ready for the event. An example of this is due to extreme weather the Race for Life was looking like it might not be able to happen but the Showground staff ensured the grass was repaired, additional meetings to discuss alternative access and ways to ensure the event could happen and the vital funds were raised for Cancer Research UK. Race for Life is extremely happy with the service the Norfolk Showground provides, they are not just a venue to be hired but their support in advice and planning within the ground is exceptional. We are also trailing a new event in October and due to the customer service and the relationship we have at the Norfolk Showground, this venue is only one of four events to be trial. This is credit to the venue and the service they provide not only to Cancer Research UK but all its customers.

EASTERN HERPETOLOGICAL SOCIETY For two years now the Eastern Herpetological Society has used St Walstan Hall for their annual event with great success and have booked already for 2013. The Events Management Team are always friendly, approachable and keen to ensure that things run smoothly, even at short notice on the day. An e-mail on the Sunday evening asking how things went gives an idea of the service received. The Norfolk Showground is an excellent venue with great staff and deserves recognition.

For the last two years I in my position as Deputy District Commissioner for Southern Norwich Scout groups have headed the team organising our St Georges activity day. I suggested trying the Showground and that is the best thing I have done for a long time, the office staff are so easy to deal with very obliging and go that step further to help to make the events go well and the back room ground staff cannot be faulted in their assistance every thing we have asked for has been provided with great efficiency.
