about us
East Anglian Air Ambulance: A charitable organisation serving the people of Norwich and East Anglia - one of our favourite local charities.
The East Anglian Air Ambulance is a life saving air ambulance that serves the people of Norfolk, Suffolk and Cambridgeshire. It is a charitable organisation that receives no government or national lottery funding. All funding for this charity is from the generosity of the people and organisations of Norwich and East Anglia.
Helping to save lives
Since its foundation in 2000, this charitable organisation has expanded to provide a 365 day a year service covering the 5,000 sq. miles of Norfolk, Suffolk, and Cambridgeshire. Hangared at Norwich Airport and flying an average of 4 missions per day, it is the second busiest air ambulance in the country.
The medical profession is strongly of the opinion that a patient’s chances of survival are far greater if they reach hospital care within one hour – “The golden hour”. Anglia One gets the paramedic on scene fast, the patient to hospital care fast and frees up land ambulances for front-line work.
Now the helicopter and its crew are on stand-by for 365 days a year and can reach almost anywhere in the region within 20 minutes and often quicker, to provide the crucial patient care.
How you can help
Anglia One relies solely on charitable donations to operate - it is the people of Norwich and East Anglia who keep this charity flying and saving lives.

I have the absolute pleasure of knowing a few members of the team in both a business and personal sense. I am in awe of the commitment, dedication and professionalism they have for this very worth while service. I am very proud to be running this years London Marathon in aid of the East Anglian Air Ambulance.
I collapsed on Devils Dyke and the Air Ambulance saved me my life! They flew me to the land ambulance and onward to Addenbrookes.
What an amazing essential resource! With traffic pressures the way it is these days this facilty is crucial for the survival of Norfolk people in need of medical help when an ambulance canʼt reach them. I havenʼt used this sevice but feel safe in the knowledge that it is available. I donate money to this great cause whenever I get the opportunity.
