Solid Socks for Christmas!
You wouldn't normally be too impressed to get a pair of socks for Christmas would you? There's some truly awful ones out there that probably only ever sell "because it's Christmas".
So why am I blogging about a pair of socks and what the heck are Solid Socks anyway?
In the run up to Christmas things were really busy; it was a couple of days before we were able to get to the office mailbox.
When I got to the mailbox my eye was immediately drawn to a very glossy, patterned padded envelope - an envelope that stood out from all the rest of the mail; whoever sent it had made an effort to ensure it stood out and got opened!
Sure enough, the package from Mark and Simon at Solid Block was the first thing I opened. They have really put their design skills to work, the sock holder has a M&S logo (Mark and Simon of course) and the reverse has their contact details and a QR code that takes you to their Christmas Message.
The Solid Sock idea is very clever; the idea of a pair of socks for Christmas, the execution - a stand-out envelope, the copy on the card and of course a QR code to go to their Christmas greeting.
There's a clear theme here - if Mark and Simon are that detailed and careful in their approach to sending out their Christmas message, what could they do for your message?
Sure, Mark and Simon would enthuse about their use of font, colour and overall design, but that's where they are the experts - all I know is that their Christmas message brought a huge smile to my face and had me talking and even blogging about Solid Socks!
