What a great start to the year - Hooloovooo Hair stylist, Emma Knecht has been selected for the L'Oreal ID Artist Programme!
A huge success for her and a fantastic opportunity.
ID Artists are coached on how to recreate the latest catwalk looks, cut and colour techniques, product innovation and seasonal trends.
It is a 2 year programme sponsored by L'Oreal to develop talent and learning and only 40 hairdressers are selected from all over the country.
It's a big commitment and a huge opportunity. Emma will be working alongside some of the biggest names in the industry and will bring all her knowledge and passion into Hooloovoo to share with the rest of the team.
She went for the selection process on Wednesday and all at Hooloovoo have hardly breathed since then, waiting to hear!
It was a very gruelling day and required weeks of work on her part before the audition, working on her model and mood boards and clothes and make up, which she did all herself.
She was terribly nervous but she managed to pull it out of the bag with help from creative director, Simi, who had the greatest faith in her.
She actually got a 'yes' from all 5 judges which we heard was a very rare occurrence!
Hooloovoo are very grateful to Julia at the vintage shop Goldfinches for loaning the clothes free of charge and to Hannah for giving her time and day to model.
So congratulations, Emma!!
