It's official - Jarrold in Norwich, is one of the best greetings card retailers in the UK

Jarrolds department store has a special place in the hearts of the people of Norwich - it must be one of the most loved brands in Norwich, one of the fabourite shops in Norwich.

So it comes as no surprise to Norwich shoppers that Jarrold is a finalist in this year's greeting card retailing awards - affectionately known as The Retas. Jarrold was nominated as one of the best greeting card retailers in the UK.

All the finalists were picked as a result of huge nationwide nomination process. Earlier this year, Retas forms were distributed to UK greeting card publishers, card reps and agents who nominated the retailers that they felt to be the worthy winners in each of the categories. Also card retailers were asked to nominate themselves.

The Retas awards recognise excellence across the whole retail spectrum, from independents on the high streets, to the mini chains, national multiples, garden centres, department stores and supermarkets.


Jarrolds beat off the competition to become a finalist in the "Best Greeting Card Department in a Department Store" UK Award.

The winner will be revealed at a glittering awards event on a Oriental theme at London's Dorchester Hotel on July 8, attended by almost 400 people.
