First Swine Flu case at City College Norwich

Bookmark and Share

A 16 year old student at City College Norwich has been diagnosed with Swine Flu and a member of staff is suspected of having swine flu aswell.

Neither are said to be seriously ill and under the latest government guidelines, the college is open as usual.

The college is increasing it's cleaning regime and has hand cleaning gels available at the main entrances, along with advice for the students.

City College Norwich Principal, Dick Palmer said "There is no reason for undue concern, although we are asking everyone to be extra vigilant and to seek medical advice immediately if they suspect that they have the symptoms of the virus.”

Now that Swine flu has arrived in Norwich, you may be thinking about what precautions you can take yourself.

Green East and the Globe Travel Health Clinic both currently stock effective hand foam and hand wipes.

Pop into Globe Travel Health Clinic in Cattlemarket Street Norwich (just behind the Mall) or order online through Green East (Green East are offering a free foam hand rub with all orders of £10 and over - offer valid until 31st July 2009)

The hand run supplied by The Globe Travel Health Centre and Green East is effective against both bacteria and viruses - alcohol hand rubs are only effective against bacteria. Wash those hands before preparing or eating any food or drink, and try not to touch your own mouth, nose or eyes with your fingertips as viruses can enter the body from your fingers..... report abuse...
