The Old Red Bull Inn is without doubt the best pub in morpeth. The atmosphere is always relaxed and friendly, and the beer is always good. Dean and Lyndsay provide a hospitality and warmth that is sadly lacking in most other establishments these days. The regular clientelle are a really friendly bunch of people from all walks of life, and who all share a respect for the pub, and those who frequent it. If you fancy a decent pint, some good banter and the pick of some classic juke box tunes, this is the pub for you!

With a pool room and darts room, about half a dozen game machines, an external smoking area, and awesome jukebox thereʼs no other place Iʼd rather be on a night out

A nice friendly pub. Always serving a great pint! Definately worth a visit. I took my wife there recently who enjoyed the friendly atmosphere. She is looking forward to our next visit.

I agree with the above comment regarding the quality of the draught beers - especially the cask conditioned "real" ales.
Never had a pint that was not exceptional.
My only detrimental comment is that the toilet area has not been upgraded since I first visited the establishment in 1973 ! although Dean is fully aware of this area than needs renovating. There is usually a broad range of ages of the patrons but it is always friendly and never any sign of trouble.
