This Veterinary Practice was founded in 1985 and has a dedicated team of 10 vets offering a highly professional, yet caring and considerate approach, ensuring the very best care for your pets. They have 3 surgeries in the Northampton area.
The practice as a whole offers a comprehensive Pet Healthcare Service with routine
consultations, surgery, radiography and dentistry. Several of the vets have additional
veterinary qualifications, so can offer more advanced treatments and undertake referrals from other practices in areas such as orthopaedics, soft tissue surgery, internal medicine, cardiology, diabetic management, dermatology, oncology, ultrasonography, endoscopy and advanced imaging such as MRI and CT scans.
The highly trained nursing staff, several possessing diplomas in veterinary nursing, run clinics advising owners on all aspects of petcare such as behaviour, grooming, diet and worming. The nurses perform post operative checks and suture removals, physiotherapy on pets recovering from surgery, implant microchips and give certain injections under veterinary direction.
The nursing staff also provide 24-hour nursing care to all inpatients 365 days a year.
Abington Park Veterinary Surgery Group also pride themselves on their 'state of the art' laboratory equipment which makes it possible to offer a wide range of tests many of which are unavailable in other veterinary practice laboratories. This in-house facility gives the practice an added advantage of rapid and accurate results for early diagnoses and treatment, giving you the peace of mind that they will make every effort to treat your pet quickly and efficiently.
Wellingborough Road Surgery overlooks Abington Park in Northampton, has easy parking at the rear of the premises and from 4th January 2011 is Surgery is open 7 days a week from 8.30am - 7pm. Weekend consultations and surgical procedures are priced exactly the same as those taking place during the week; there is no extra premium to pay. This service is convenient for those pet owners who are unable to attend during the week due to work or childcare commitments. The internal medicine referral service is based at this surgery.
Moulton Surgery was opened in 2002 and is situated at Moulton College, Holcot Lane, offering care from 8.30am to 6.20pm Monday to Friday. This surgery offers routine appointments and surgery but is also the base for the soft tissue surgery and orthopaedic surgery referral services offered by the practice. MRI and CT scans take place here with scanning sessions running once a month for MRI and once a month for CT.
The Acorn Surgery on Vicarage Road, St James was acquired by Abington Park Veterinary Group and re-opened in Autumn 2007. It is located just off the Harlestone Road, the opening hours are Monday to Friday 8.50am to 10.30am and 3.30pm to 6.20pm. Routine appointments and surgery take place here.
