The Cobblers and The Saints

The Saints rugby Club are through to the quarter final of the Heineken Cup, the only English team left in the competition. Another visit to Limerick to face Munster should give us confidence. We did not play our best in the last match there, and yet went really close to beating them. The full draw is as follows.

 

Quarter-final draw

Munster v Northampton

Biarritz v Ospreys

Toulouse v Stade Français

Leinster v Clermont Auvergne

Games to be played on the weekend of 9-11 April

Semi-final draw

Toulouse or Stade Français v Leinster or Clermont Auvergne

Biarritz or Ospreys v Munster or Northampton.

Games to be played on the weekend of 1-2 May

Let us not forget the Cobblers too, written off by a lot of supporters early in the season, are now in a good run of form. You never know a couple of more wins and we could still have a chance of making the playoffs!

It is good for all of Northampton that we have some success in Football, cricket and Rugby.
