I took a party of 8 children and 2 adults to ʼpaint me glaze meʼ in Bangor for my daughterʼs 13th birthday treat. The staff were very attentive and a special thankyou to Emma who showed great patience when being asked for numerous paint refills - all at the same time. There was an extensive selection of pottery pieces to choose from and the children picked very quickly, something which they related to. Good explanation of how it worked was given and all the children enjoyed picking their colours before starting, and also chose whether to paint with acrylics and take them home on the day of have them glazed, in which case they could be picked up a week later. There is a varied price range and I would recommend a visit prior to your outing to select pieces within your party budget. There are bigger pieces which could be used to decorate other businesses or homes and would be all the more appealing if painted by their owners. I personally would enjoy this activity with a group of adult friends, and I have already put it forward into my workplace as an option for our annual teambuilding outing. The usual time taken is about one and a half hours and we filled that time plus a little more..
We all enjoyed every minute of the experience and what made it more special for my daughter was the feedback from her friend who said it was so enjoyable she was going to ask to have her 13th birthday there. It is so difficult to find something suitable for teenagers these days, however this was a great choice for us. Smiles all round and I look forward to picking up the pottery pieces, later this week, that were left to be glazed..

What a great place to have fun! It is amazing how, with the help of the staff in my case(!), you come away from Paint me Glaze Me with a piece of artwork you can put on the mantlepiece!! My son, he is 7, did a snowman at Christmas and it was lovely. He gave it to his grandparents who were thrilled with it. They do parties as well, adult ones and children. My son has been to a children party and had a great time and painted his own personal mug. He loves it there. Try it yourself, however old you are!!
