I have eaten at the Jamaica Inn for lunch on a number of occassions andhave found the food to very delicious, however the staff were very slow to seat us and take orders from the table, the atmosphere is a pleasant one but unfortunately the staff let this potentially excellent business down.

Love this bar restaurant, food fantastic, view hard to beat, within waking distance of town centre and marina. Itʼs the perfect place to go after a days sailing or to take visitors down for the day. Children are always made welcome and now that the no smoking ban is in force its a great place to take the whole family.

This is probably one the best bar restaurants in the county never mind just Bangor. The location is superb, with beautiful views overlooking the Belfast lough, which can be taken in not just from the bay windows but also from their lovely beer garden. I think I will start by mentioning the food. A really excellent and diverse menu with traditional favorites and also some more adventurous dishes, I can honestly say that the food is of an exceptional standard. I think that a lot of that is down to the fact that the head chef is actually the owner which has to be a plus for any discerning diner. The service whether you are at the bar or seated at a table is first class, all the staff are pleasant and efficient and the manager is really on the ball. This all makes for a really good all round atmosphere and is obviously why the place is normally bustling. All in all a smashing place and I strongly recommend a visit. I nearly forgot they also have top quality entertainment at the weekends. The Jamaica Inn, Oh aaaargh ! 10 out of 10

I recently went to the Jamaica Inn with a couple of friends on a Tuesday night. We had a great meal and then stayed for the weekly quiz. The meal we had was great, I would definitely recommend the fillet steak as it was the best I have had in ages. The quiz was good fun even if we were rubbish.
