WINNER OF HOOK NORTON BREWERY AWARDS FOR
"BEST BEER & PUB FOOD" &
"BEST WEBSITE" 2012 !!
The George at Brailes is a Grade II Listed Coaching Inn located in the heart of the Warwickshire Village of Brailes. As was always the case, the Village Bar is used by locals and visitors alike, to discuss local issues, or recover by the fire from a Cotswold walk, all accompanied by a pint from the very local Hook Norton Brewery & something tasty off the menu!
The George Inn has been taken over by the renowned chef Bill Leadbeater and his family and they are aiming to retain the traditional character of the pub, with its inglenook fireplace and mullion windows, but with the addition of a first rate kitchen, serving modern, fresh and locally sourced dishes to a discerning clientele.
The George Inn is steeped in history, with parts of the pub dating back to before 1350, when the stonemasons building the Church in the village were housed at the Inn.
MENUS
The George at Brailes doesn't do "fast food"! All dishes are prepared to order, every time and there is a policy of sourcing as much as possible from local Cotswold producers; meat is rarebreed, and traceable; eggs are free range and fish is delivered daily.
BEERS
The bar (& the beer!) forms the backbone of The George - log fires, a great pint, and the local newspaper all go towards the perfect local!
ROOMS

We would certainly recommend this hotel, the staff were very friendly considering the long hours they work especially the chef!
I took my boyfriend away for his birthday and stayed at the George. We had such a lovely time and couldn't believe how amazing the food was.
Friendly staff. Food was fantastic. The breakfast was lovely, but the evening meal was exceptional. All 3 courses were just perfect.Lovely friendly staff and locals
Long walk with our dog -great countryside and views - followed by Sunday lunch in the pub garden. Good food, great value. Very helpful and friendly staff
Shared two seperate meals recently with friends, very good value, excellent attentive staff. Daily meal offers, one of our party had the "main for a fiver" and it was first class value for money. There are also two course and three course menus deals to choose from. All 8 of us enjoyed our meals and could not fault anything. Will definately go back and can recommend
Tremendous evening at The George - great music and excellent food - really lively place and we weill be back.
Came for dinner to the NEW George, as we'd heard good things locally about the food. We were not disappointed! My duck was perfectly cooked and delicious and my daughter's mushroom dish was scrummy! We WILL be back for sure!
I had lunch here recently and was really delighted with the standards - the food was absolutely delicious and unusual - real craftmanship in the flavours and textures and I will definitely be back.
