Opening Hours: Easter to end of October - Monday to Saturday & Bank Holiday Mondays 2pm - 4pm
Tel: 01608 641712
The Museum is easily found on the Chipping Norton High Street, opposite the imposing steps to The Guildhall. The Museum is independently run by Chipping Norton History Society and is open from Easter until the end of October, from 2pm to 4 pm - the entrance fee is £1.00 for adults and 50p for children.
The North Cotswold Museum houses a wide range of historic, educational & fascinating exhibits including artefacts from Pre-Historic and Roman Times, Farming Exhibits, "Chipping Norton at War" and a whole section on the highly popular Chipping Norton Baseball Club, now sadly no longer functioning. School visits from North Cotswolds schools, or further afield are welcomed by appointment.
The staff manning the centre are all volunteers and have tremendous local Cotswold knowledge, both past and present. There is a reference section for those wishing to research Family Histories with many official records pertaining to Chipping Norton and the surrounding North Cotswold area.
