Chris and Sarah Smith welcome you to Highgate luxury holiday cottages and accommodation set in Newtown, Mid Wales. Lying east of the Cambrian Mountains in the old county of Montgomeryshire, it is three miles from Newtown on the Tregynon road.

To start off your holiday or relaxing break Welcome Hampers, grocery basics bought and placed in the cottage for your arrival, and  First Night Suppers  cooked in the farmhouse and transferred to your cottage kitchen,  can be  enjoyed on your first evening after arrival. Both by arrangement.

This is land steeped in history and culture, a place where time has stood still. Here you will escape the crowds and be able to recharge your batteries.
 

Our luxury holiday cottages in Wales make an ideal base for visiting Offa's Dyke, Powis Castle, for walking, bird watching and touring the lakes and mountains. The coast and the more rugged scenery of Snowdonia National Park are only an hour's drive away. Newtown, three miles away, is most attractive, with its street market on Tuesdays; there is a swimming pool, sports centre and lively theatre, plus fishing and golf.

Among the other small market towns nearby are Welshpool, Montgomery and Llanidloes, with their castles, gardens, galleries and quiet shops.
