We are all very sad to be leaving the Cottage, we have has a brilliant time, visiting many places i.e. Llangollen - The Canal Trip, Powis Castle, Ludlow, taking in the beautiful scenery and history. Lake Vyrnwy was spectacular with plenty to do and the drive over the pass to Lake Bala was stunning although nerve wracking for the feint of heart, but easily done. Our last day was filled with a visit to the famous "spring watch" reservoir where we were overjoyed with our visit to see nesting ospreys and three chicks at Dyfi Valley. we drove over to Aberystwyth and then along the Vale of Rheidol to see spectacular scenery and six beautiful red kites hunting for their evening meal - a marvelous end to a superb holiday. Watch out for the regular morning visitor over the pond - Red Kite! We can highly recommend local village pubs and restaurants for good food and drink even entertainment.

We very much enjoyed our stay at Highgate Farm while we visited Wales. Your place was our favorite, and the mid-Wales area. We we impressed with the friendly people everywhere we went, somewhat disappointed with the amount of rain, although we expected some of it. We did get to ride horses when we stayed in the LLandrindod Wells area.
