A personal view: We have had a waterbed for approximately ten years and have never regretted our decision to buy one. 75% of my patients have some form of back problems-but most people would rather buy all types of furniture but their bed is the one to renew last of all- indeed, most prefer to have the cheapest regardless of comfort. Poor posture is the cause of many back problems but how many have considered that when lying in their beds? When asleep we have no control of our muscles and ligaments so this is the time they should be supported. many people suffer from discomfort and restlessness which is brought on usually from pressure points on the body. Even distribution and support of body weight with a waterbed helps to ease the condition. A waterbed gives relief to disabled people, pregnant women, certain back problems and the warmth provides heat for people suffering from rheumatism. We need a good bed to support our bodies. However if you already have a back problem, just replacing your bed should not be a replacement for medical treatment. A friend recommended a water bed to me because he like me has chronic bad problems , i went to see the people at aqua status and a very friendly sales lady sorted me out there and then , they installed the bed within a week and even gave me a two week trial . I was worried about the bed saging and leaks etc but none of this has happened , i have had bed in now for just over a year and they came to service it the other day , and even that was at the time i suggested so i didn't have to take time off work , a great company with a great product thanks !!
My next door neighbour owns the Aquastatus Waterbed Centre. I had been having problems with my old bed, the springs kept digging into my back and the bed used to sag. As my room is the box room of the house, I didnt really think it would be possible to fit a waterbed in there - but it is, and it does! I am so pleased with it - I have no more problems with my back. Anyone who has back problems or even a horrible bed, I would guarantee that a Water bed is right for you :)
I bought a waterbed from these guys, a while back! - I hadn't intended buying one . . . but they convinced me, that with my history of back problems, I wouldn't regret the purchase. And they were right! It's so comfortable, I often wake up in the morning in exactly the same position I fell asleep-in, the night before! So, (if for no other reason . . .) if your back goes out more often than you do . . . get a waterbed from these guys! Their aftersales service is excellent and the bed itself requires very little maintenance! No more tossing and turning. No more lumpy mattresses. No sagging springs.
