NEWPORT CITY CENTRE SHOPPING UPDATE
Newport City Council have at last identified it's preferred route to finding a partner for the City Centre redevelopment plan.
The scheme is one of the council's top priorities and it has already made a number of key decisions to enable the site to be remarketed.
Following and in-depth discussion it has decided the approach it wishes to adopt for re-tendering the process.
Hopefully this will provide a quicker and more cost-effective startegy whilst maintaining total control over the final development.
For Newport residents, this can't come quick enough. The City Centre redevelopment is long overdue and when completed represents the perfect opportunity to revitalise Newport's city centre.
