Make this Mother’s Day a 'Muddy Marvel'!
8th March 2012

Now we realise that not all mums are interested in being wined and dined on Mother’s Day.

So for those of you involved with the Scouts, who want to support the a local community group or who just love to push themselves to the limit, thriving on the competition then this is the Mother’s Day for you!

The 8th Annual Lode Muddy Marvel is being held on Sunday 18th March and is being organised by Newmarket Cycling & Triathlon Club for the benefit of Newmarket Scouts. The Muddy Marvel consists of an Adult Course covering 5 miles over footpaths, and a Junior course covering 1.5 miles, leaving the kids able to be waiting at the end for you with a towel and much needed refreshment... (wishful thinking?)

All the profit from the day goes to the Newmarket Scouts, and even if you are not directly active with the Scouts, they are an important part of the community to keep young people occupied and engaged and so need all the support they can get.

If you want to celebrate Mother’s Day with a twist or perhaps not celebrating this year, put your Sunday to good use with this worthy and fun cause. You could come away with prizes, but you will definitely come away with a good feeling inside!
