There are a whole host of festive events taking place in and around Newmarket this year.

From a traditional Dickensian Christmas to an equestrian-themed celebration, grab family and friends and get Christmassy!

Christmas at Newmarket Racecourses

Take in the ‘bon-viveur’ and bright lights of Paris and celebrate Christmas in style at Newmarket’s Rowley Mile Racecourse.

Perfect for an office party or celebration with friends and family, C’est Magnifique consists of a three course meal, charity casino, disco and Parisian-style entertainment.

Dates available are December 2nd, 3rd, 15th and 20th. Visit the Newmarket Racecourses website to find out more.

A Dickensian Christmas at Denny

Join the Farmland Museum & Denny Abbey on Ely Road, Waterbeach for a Traditional Dickensian Christmas on December 10th 2011 from midday until 4:30pm.

Take part in a range of children’s activities and carols by candlelight (don’t forget the torch and warm clothes!).

The Christmas Story

Enjoy the music that evokes the true meaning of Christmas at St Mary’s Church in Burwell on December 10th from 7:30pm. The first half of the concert will feature some of the best-loved carols, but the main event is Heinrich Schütz’s setting of The Christmas Story.

Tickets are priced at £8 in advance or £10 on the door (under-16s free).
