From the spectacular medieval Dining Room to the beautiful Glade Marquee Suite on the South Glade, Anglesey Abbey offers discerning couples and their guests a truly unique wedding venue. Dating back to 1236, Anglesey Abbey was originally an Augustinian priory before being dissolved by Henry VIII 400 years later and being transformed into a country house estate. Upon the last owner, Lord Fairhaven's death, it was entrusted into the National Trust's care and has become one of the finest wedding venues in the area. The Robinson Room, Lower Gallery and Dining Room are all licensed to hold civil ceremonies. Please be aware that Anglesey Abbey is a National Trust property, and as such, is open to the general public. Therefore, certain rooms do have restrictions. The Redwoods Restaurant Seating up to 200 guests, the Redwoods Restaurant is an ultra-modern, airy venue, which is perfect for evening receptions.
The Robinson Room Are you looking for a smaller, intimate wedding venue? Situated in the Scandinavian-style visitor centre, The Robinson Room holds up to 48 and features floor to ceiling windows, which make the most out of the Abbey's award-winning lawns.
The Glade Marquee Suite Why not enjoy the Abbey's beautiful gardens and hire the Glade Marquee Suite for your wedding breakfast and reception? Treat your guests to a quintessentially English experience, with drinks and canapés in the lovely Rose Garden or Front Lawn before retiring to the Marquee suite to celebrate into the night. When it comes to marquee weddings, Anglesey Abbey contracts specialist outside caterers, who will work with you to tailor a menu that meets all of your needs, from simple to extravagant. The Glade Marquee Suite holds up to 150 guests in comfort.
The Lower Gallery The Lower Gallery is a truly special room - home to Lord Fairhaven's superb collection of Windsor views, which is second only to the Royal Collection. Holding up to 80 guests, this unique room is licensed to hold civil ceremonies.
The Dining Room Dating back to the original priory, which was built in 1236, the Dining Room was originally the monks' sitting room and features spectacular stone vaulted ceilings. The Dining Room can seat up to 30 people, making it an unique, intimate wedding ceremony venue.
