Getting to the Northumberland Show 2010
There is plenty of parking available on the day but be warned that the roads to the County Show can get incredibly busy and you if you are going for the afternoon please allow enough time for lengthy traffic jams.
Public Transport
Corbridge train station is literally just a minutes walk from the County Show ground (Tynedale Rugby ground) and is a much better option. Extra trains usually run between Newcatle and Hexham for the day. Another warning however (from experience!) - the trains too get very very packed in the afternoon and if you try and join the train from Prudhoe or Stocksfield you may find it is too packed and doesn't stop. Also if you are trying to get on with small children and buggies bear this in mind and join the train at an earlier station and at an earlier time!
As the Northumberland County Show regularly has visitor numbers around 25,000, congestion is to be expected - but if you plan your journey carefully and don't leave too late - it is well worth the effort and a great day out.
Entrance Prices
Tickets are priced at £10 adult £6 OAP and £2.50 for children with a family ticket priced at £25. Discount is available buy buying tickets in advance. See website for details (search the F Q section). Discount approx £1 and £5 for family ticket.
Not the cheapest day out but very good value for money as it is very easy to spend all day at the show and all displays are free.
