The Gosforth Gathering looks like becoming a major music festival for the North East. Four friends, who are tired of always having to travel to the South to enjoy similar large scale music festivals capable of attracting legendary names such as The Buzzcocks and The Stranglers, have got together to organise this summers music festival.
The Gosforth Gathering is taking place at Gosforth Racecourse on August 5 and 6 with two main headlining acts still to be announced. The Bluetones and Therapy? are also to play alongside North East bands The Sound Explosion and Kubicheck and others. There will a second stage which will showcase new talent - so there will be something for all.
Tickets for the Gosforth Gathering cost £29.50 for the day and £55 for the weekend with all proceeds from the event going to Teenage Cancer Trust. For further information and to buy tickets for the event you can visit the website at www.gosforthgathering.com
